Gift Certificate - Terms & Conditions
1. General
Gift certificates are issued by Brian Hurren Music Academy (BHMA).
Each certificate is valid only for the specific tuition or service stated on the certificate.
Certificates must be presented or quoted at the time of booking and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Certificates are non-refundable, except where required by law.
Certificates must be used before their stated expiry date. Unless otherwise specified, certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Certificates are subject to availability and the Academy's normal booking procedures.
2. New Customer Promotional Offer
Promotional gift certificates incorporating an introductory offer (including four classes for the price of three) are exclusively for new students.
A new student is someone who is not currently enrolled with BHMA and has not received tuition from the Academy within the previous 12 months.
Existing students cannot purchase or redeem promotional certificates to obtain discounted tuition or replace their normal monthly lesson fees.
An existing BHMA customer may purchase a promotional certificate as a genuine gift for an eligible new student.
Each student may redeem a maximum of ONE introductory promotional certificate, regardless of the number of certificates purchased or received.
Purchasing multiple certificates does not entitle a student to multiple introductory offers or additional free classes.
Promotional certificates cannot be accumulated, combined or used alongside any other introductory offer, discount or promotion.
Promotional certificates are non-transferable once registered to a student.
3. Redemption and Booking
All lessons and workshops must be arranged directly with BHMA.
Redemption is subject to availability, appropriate class placement and the Academy's acceptance of the booking.
Certificates cannot be exchanged for alternative services, cash or credit unless agreed by BHMA.
Missed classes, late cancellations or failure to attend may result in the relevant class being forfeited.
Certificates cannot be used retrospectively against lessons already booked, attended or paid for.
4. Changes and Cancellations
BHMA reserves the right to make reasonable changes to lesson times, tutors or class arrangements where necessary.
Where BHMA is unable to provide a booked lesson or workshop, an appropriate alternative arrangement will be offered.
These terms do not affect any statutory consumer rights.
5. Misuse
BHMA reserves the right to refuse redemption where a certificate is being used in breach of these terms, including attempts to circumvent the new-student eligibility requirements or promotional limits.
Any suspected misuse will be reviewed individually.
Certificates obtained through fraudulent activity or material misrepresentation may be cancelled.
6. Acceptance
Purchasing or redeeming a gift certificate constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
BHMA reserves the right to update its terms for future certificate sales. Any changes will not retrospectively remove rights already purchased under an existing certificate.
